POSITION/TITLE: Junior Operator

POSITION LOCATION: Schulenburg, Texas Base / Nationwide

POSITION TYPE / Expected Hours of Work: Full Time / Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY: The Junior Operator supports daily job execution while taking on greater responsibility for operating specialized equipment and leading small crews. This role performs all technician-level duties and expands into flare operation, separator operation, and preliminary job coordination under the oversight of a Senior Operator.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

• Operate flare stacks and separators with supervision or independently
• Perform full scope of pipeline integrity services: pigging, hydro testing, tracking, flaring, and separation
• Rig up/down job sites and ensure proper safety measures are in place
• Lead specific job tasks or support Senior Operator duties as needed
• Mentor Level 1 and Level 2 Technicians on field procedures and equipment operation
• Maintain job equipment, tools, trucks, and trailers
• Ensure safe and proper equipment loading according to DOT requirements
• Communicate with supervisors, management, and clients regarding job progress
• Accurately complete field paperwork and job documentation
• Operate forklifts or other lift equipment to load and unload equipment and assist in job rig up/down
• Uphold company safety culture and serve as an example on-site
• Identify potential hazards and initiate stop-work procedures if needed
• Travel by driving or flying with field crews to projects throughout the U.S.
• Represent Hook'd Up Services with professionalism at all times
• Safely drive a company truck, pull trailers, and fill out DOT paperwork while traveling nationwide

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 3+ years of pipeline integrity field experience
• Valid Class C driver's license
• Ability to obtain Class A CDL preferred
• Must be willing to obtain TWIC card
• Complete company-provided safety training
• Ability to take test for job required operator qualifications

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC.:

• Skilled in operating separators, flare stacks, and pipeline equipment
• Strong working knowledge of pipeline safety procedures
• Ability to coordinate tasks, lead field operations, and manage equipment readiness
• Effective communication with team members and clients
• Organized with attention to detail in documentation and compliance
• Skilled with pig/tool tracking using geophones, receivers, and other tracking equipment
• Comfortably use GPS tools, spreadsheets, and digital logs
• Capable of mentoring junior crew members
• Able to safely operate a ¾ ton pickup and pull an equipment trailer
• Proficient in operation of forklifts, excavators, overhead cranes and other lifting equipment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift heavy loads, stand or sit for long periods, and work in various weather conditions
• Willingness to travel for extended periods and work varied shift schedules
• Must pass DOT drug test and background check
• Must be able to obtain DOT Medical Card

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

This position bridges technician-level work and full crew leadership. Junior Operators can grow into Senior Operator roles and demonstrate strong leadership potential.
